I love my job, I have been Caring since 1990 in different sectors:- Drug Rehabilitatin, Learning Disabilites, Vision loss after head injury, Homeless hostel (Solvent abuse, Alcoholism, Mental Health, Heppatitis, HIV), Dimentia and Elderly. In the early days Care work was not my main job, Hairdressing was, but I always did a few hours a week when my children were younger. As I was only part-time I never gained my NVQ's in Care work but I gained all the experience I have today, 30 years experience in various surroundings.
I am available to do temporary Live In Care cover for holidays and respite. Accompanying Clients on their holidays, UK or abroad. I prefer to do 2 weeks on, 2 week off basis with a 2 hour break each day or a 4 hour break every other day.
I consider myself a great Companion, Caring, Patient, Supportive, Thorough, Loyal, Honest, Trustworthy, Hard working with a good sense of humour and I love to have a good conversation.
I have a full UK driving license and never had any points or accidents. As I spend time at my caravan I can cover a 100 mile radius from Bradford, West Yorkshire or a 150 mile radius from Morecambe Lancashire, anymore than that I would require travel payment for public transport ie train/flight, but willing to travel if you need me.
I am not experienced in Peg feed, but willing to do the training if required. I have completed in-house training for Moving & Handling, Hoisting, Epilepsy, Cross contamination with body fluids, Basic Food & Hygiene, Advanced First Aid, Safeguarding, DOLS, Health & Safety, Fire safety.
Meals, when cooking I love to prepare food using fresh ingredients, I like to bake and feed a person well with healthy fresh products.
I am complying with Covid testing regulations, I have had all Covid vaccinations including booster.
