Can work well alone as well as in a Team. I have a social work background and currently working as a work club Employability Support Coordinator as well as a Project Support Worker (Bank). I have been supporting clients on various issues offering a professional support and advice. I have therefore acquired good record management skills, planning, organising and time management skills. I am proficient in the use some of IT packages in Microsoft Office. I have acquired ability to Manage busy office environment including dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries. I am daily engaging with clients; volunteers, staff and external visitors. I possess Excellent customer service and people management skills with ability to provide efficient front of house service. I understand well the necessity of adhering to Legislation relating to Health and Safety and safeguarding of service users and staff. Have good understanding of necessity of good communication skills and the importance of teamwork and multi-professional working and how such good relationships contributes to efficient and effective working practices. I can also work well using own initiative as well in a Team. Have also been providing community support to the service users especially for the ones that English is not their first language by advocating and acting on their behalf with other organisations regarding sorting out their bills, hospital and general appointments, benefits advice, etc. I have been able to Support clients in completing benefit claim forms, Checking the benefit entitlements, advising and preparing of financial budgeting plans, negotiating with creditors on payments in advance; looking at cutbacks on client's budgets, as well as offering advice to clients on housing options e.g. homelessness, home-finder and other housing associations applications as well as signposting when necessary. I am passionate about my jobs and I believe I can bring many personal strengths to this position and would welcome the opportunity to further develop my skills and knowledge. I am passionate and committed to continuous professional development and therefore takes advantage of any learning opportunity that comes my way. I speak fluent English and Swahili, have proven experience with dealing with matters over the telephone and have a calm and patient nature.
