I have been in the nursing and health sector for several years, with extensive experience in various nursing and healthcare industries, and additional post-basic qualifications. My experience ranges from general nursing, community, psychiatry, and midwifery. I have also worked in primary health care in retail pharmacies.. Although I'm a registered nurse with an NMC pin, I am now focusing more on full-time, professional live-in carer roles, and I'm receiving ongoing continuous development training relevant to such roles. I've supervised over carers in the district when I've worked in South Africa as a nurse. In this role as the district sister, I was responsible for visiting new clients and compiling individualised care plans and giving guidance and support to carers on how to keep these up to date. I was further responsible for driving around in the district, visiting clients where they had their designated carers allocated to them. I would support and give guidance to the carers, put out the medication as prescribed by their GP, I would also do various woundcare, and give guidance to the carers and client's family members on how to deal with a wound if necessary. I've also done post-op wound care and post-op assistance, especially for orthopaedic post-op patients. I've been a registered nurse phlebotomist as a travel nurse, taking blood for insurance companies as well as pathology laboratories where I've performed bloodtaking on adults and children. In my recent role as an RN in a hospital here in the UK, I've worked closely with consultants. Post-op wound care and taking blood from patients were a prominent part of my role. I've recently explored other opportunities, and for instance have I looked after people’s houses and pets, which included light cleaning chores. I’ve had excellent feedback from customers in the private hospital setting, praising my nursing skills, friendliness, and professionalism. Transferable attributes: - Caring and compassionate - Good interpersonal skills - Friendly and polite - Professional - Good listener - Good social skills - Excellent customer relations - Good conflict handling skills - Excellent communicator - Analytical and good judgement - Positive outlook - Problem-solving skills - Good sense of humour - Passionate about nature - Animal and pet lover. Hobbies Hiking, walking, gym, wild camping, dine and wine, travelling, birdwatching, Arts and Crafts, Cooking, DIY’s, Compassionate about animals and nature, Watching a good movie, dramas, and listening to golden oldies from the 60, 70 and 80-ties, any other music with a slow rock and pop tune, or just gentle, spiritual/meditation music.
