My previous work experience has enlightened me the demand and the expectations of being a care worker, and I believe that I have gained more experience such as good communication skills, team work and confidentiality. I like socialising with people, enjoy listening to music, taking a walk, cooking, cleaning and going on holidays. My favourite place is the sea side beach. I'm currently ;earning how to drive and hope to have this passed soon. When starting with a new client I prefer to have a settling in period where I get to know my client and all their needs, after this period I can then discuss with client or clients family members to discuss a rotation period of 3/4 weeks on and 1/2 weeks off. When delivering live in care I also prefer to have my 2 hour break each day. I am happy to travel throughout the UK for work as long as my travelling costs are covered both ways by my future clients. I am available to work Bank holidays and my rate is charged at double pay. l like doing activities with my client, doing something different or something they like e.g taking them out for coffee, church, playing games, knitting and taking a walk around the garden also cooking fresh meals from depending on their choices, preparing meals like lasagne, chicken/ beef casserole etc. l can work alongside with District Nurse, Gp, family and other care professional and I am always willing to learn skills when caring for clients.
