We moved to South Africa in 2000 and 18 months ago relocated to Northern Ireland from England. I have had 5 years experience in care homes within England and Northern Ireland and hold a clean valid UK drivers licence. I am fit and healthy, a good clean housekeeper and have good cooking skills and food hygiene knowledge.I am patient,understanding and recognise the importance of maintaining a clients independence and dignity. Being a carer is so much more than just ensuring the physical well being of the client. Sympathy, empathy, understanding, patience, companionship and respect are all qualities I take into any situation where I am held responsible for the care of a client. Having cared for my elderly mother for 2 years I have a clear understanding of how very difficult it is to grow old and to have to rely on others for assistance. You can be assured, that any care situation I may enter into, the client will be treated with care, respect and dignity to a standard no less than that which I gave to my mother. I enjoy reading, walking, gardening, various types of needlework and I love animals.
