Having worked in the care services I have taken care of people living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. I have taken care of people with spinal injuries and brain injuries. The care included the following; Reading and understanding care plans, diaries and Service user notes. Working on delegated duties from supervisors and co-workers performing personal care, oral care, hair care, skin care, washing and dressing and taking person in care to the toilet at certain intervals at their request and or through prompting. I also have experience in Social care in a care home or nursing home setting and as a live in carer. I have skills in hand hygiene, infection control, food hygiene and allergen awareness. I have recent training in food hygiene and protection of vulnerable groups and moving and handling of client on how to operate full body hoists, slings and the use of a stand aid and the slings. I have also Supported adults living with learning disabilities in the community performing duties delegated by management such as house keeping, health and safety, medication administration, personal care ie washing, dressing and toileting, and social care such as going to social events, eating out and shopping.
