Hi there, I am 26 years of age working full time as a detention custody manager. I specialize in maintaining a safe working environment for vulnerable adults and those who are subject to removal/deportation from the UK. I work a 4 on and 4 off shift pattern and I'm hoping to pick up care shifts (flexible) when I am not working my normal full-time shifts. I have experience working with vulnerable adults for over 5+ years as my previous roles entailed VACP & ACDT assessments which are linked to self-harm and suicidal adults. My hobbies are learning how people operate and this may start from observing ones routine when going grocery shopping. I have an interest in psychology and I enjoy working with those who may need extra support whether dementia patients, autism or other special needs. My grandma and a few other close family members have suffered from dementia and aiding her is always a pleasure as it shows me how I can work on things better to help others in the future. I have access to a valid UK manual driving license and I also own my personal car which I am more than happy to transport clients in if they are in need of this service. I can work in many areas as I do drive, however travel costs ideally would be included in payment. My availability would change every week as I work a rolling 4-on-4-off shift pattern, otherwise it may be that I have booked holiday, however reaching out for my updated availability is always best! I have experience working with elderly patients for 2+ years when in university and then becoming an actual legal carer for my grandmother in the US for just under a year following a family emergency. Specific areas I am good in is companionship as I love a good ole chat and personal care for those who need this. Again, reaching out with specific requirements is also always helpful.
