I've been working as a Domiciliary and Live in carer for the past 7 years and after helping to look after my father, who had Alzheimer's, I can honestly say, I have found my calling....caring for the elderly. I now specialize in live in care and assist with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, housekeeping, errands, whatever is necessary to enable your loved ones to remain in their own homes, where they are respected and treated with the dignity they deserve. I am a British citizen and have a UK drivers licence and my own car and I don't mind to travel. I specifically work from November to June, offering both short term respite cover, as well as longer assignments, (2-4 weeks). As well as possessing all the necessary qualities of a good carer, i. e. compassion, professionalism, reliability, hardworking and flexible, I have loads of patience and energy. I enjoy challenging roles that involve any aspects of Dementia, as well as hospital discharge clients who require ongoing encouragement and support to help with their recovery. I enjoy walking, outings, cooking, gardening, puzzles and companionship I am there for my clients to make a difference in their daily lives to help them maintain as normal a lifestyle as possible in their own homes for as long as they are able.
