I believe in promoting independence wherever possible and encouraging the wonderful individuals I get to work with to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. I am patient and empathetic in my approach and believe in treating those I support with dignity, respect, and compassion. I can assess and adapt calmly and quickly to new (and challenging) situations and take my responsibilities to heart - always giving of my best. I have a cheerful, gentle disposition and like to see the bright side in most situations. I have worked with individuals with complex needs and have extensive experience with different clients at various stages of dementia. Having worked as a Dementia Coach to other carers, I have a special interest in enabling individuals to live WELL with Dementia. Besides my own care experience, I have worked as a trainer to live-in carers, so I am aware of the high standards expected by clients and their loved ones and expect nothing less of myself. I am organised and methodical in all tasks I undertake. I am professional and hardworking, always willing to 'go the extra mile'.
