I have had the opportunity in demonstrating my passion and skills in care through providing care services in nursing homes, residential homes, and to individuals with complex care needs in clients own homes. I am known by colleagues and those I support for being competent, reliable, flexible, compassionate, caring and empathetic which are the key care skills needed in providing person centred care. I have completed all required courses needed as a senior health care assistant and as a support worker, making me proficient in managing any task required of me. I have strong work ethic accompanied with good communication skills, this has enabled me to maintain a positive work relationship with my fellow colleagues, the individuals I support and those involved in their care. My goal is to always work towards upholding and promoting the dignity and independence of the individuals I support. I am comfortable in having pets in the home while caring for my clients however I am unable to care for them If it takes time away from my client.
