My experience as a carer has been gained through working for a large agency. I visited clients in their homes to complete domiciliary care. This included personal care ( washing, changing incontinence pads or assisting to go to the toilet/commode, dressing, brushing teeth, combing hair). I can use a hoist to move people out of bed and into a chair. I can also cook meals, complete light cleaning and laundry. I am friendly, compassionate, kind and a good listener. I have worked as a carer in paid and unpaid work for 3 years and have looked after people with physical and mental health conditions including dementia, stroke, cancer and schizophrenia. I became a carer while initially looking after family members. I enjoy looking after people and find this work very rewarding. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the cinema. Do get in touch if you think I could help you.
