I have a passion for helping and caring for others and started as a support worker and worked my way up to a senior role. I have experience with working with elderly and young adults. Specialising in mental health and young adults with learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour. Some of which are physically disabled and have acquired brain injuries. On the job training has given me confidence, knowledge and experience when working with clients with individual needs and requirements. Over the years I have enjoyed working on a 1:1 basis, having to adapt everyday living and tailoring it for the individual. This has involve creating and developing personal plans, sensitive to the client’s needs and clear for the team to follow. I have also worked with a group of clients with colleagues which have been successful. Communication and organisational skills have been an essential when planning trips and group activities. Effective planning when implementing activities suitable for the clients, adhering to their personal needs and requirements at all times and reviewing on a regular basis. Throughout my career I have worked collaboratively with professional parties, such as Doctors, social worker & therapists. Building close trusting relationships with family and colleagues play a key role in a successful outcome. I am able to assess, plan, create and implement individual person centred plans and review these once implemented.
