I have been able to work at different capacity as a care assistant, carer, healthcare support worker, night support worker, mental health support worker in hospitals and private homes. This include working with different service users including people with complex care need, challenging behaviour, dementia, elderly, domiciliary, mental health, supporting children and young people with issues such as sexual,emotional and/or physical abuse, racism, self-harm, etc. Also, I have worked with children and young people using the service to develop, implement and review care and support plans to improve wellbeing in a whole lots of supported living settings. Working with adult and young people to support them with behaviors that challenge while remaining calm under pressure, supported all age groups with learning disability lone worker or part of a team, minimizing behaviors and supporting my residents through crisis, my main responsibility are to support people who are vulnerable, people with challenging behaviour, autism and with little bit of difficulty learning, giving resident a voice and choice to live an independent live in cases of supported living, supported with administering medication, Provided 1-1 support within the home and out in the community. I have experience in preventing and managing violent behaviours, managing and preventing aggression, etc I can also provide clients with social and physical support which includes chatting, spending time in positive task (baking, life skills,etc), personal care, hoisting, moving aids, etc My speciallst skllls include personal care, social care, experience gathered over the years, de-escalating techniques,etc My major strength is safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. As a support worker, I have a general responsibility for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. I love to play chess, football and listening to good jamz.
