I’ve been a Carer for 8 years now and love working with older people. I find it so satisfying and like the fact that every day is different. I’m patient, reliable and hardworking as well as being flexible and conscientious in my work. I believe in treating everyone as an individual and always with dignity and respect. I have looked after a range of clients, including those with Alzheimer’s (early, mid and late stage ) as well as providing care and support for clients that are bed bound. I have worked with clients who have Parkinson’s, COPD and Asthma. I enjoy taking my clients out on trips, and help with all aspects of personal care and continence/incontinence, dressing and medication. I can assist with administration work, housekeeping and Client appointments. One of the nicest parts of my job is providing companionship and really getting to know people as an individual. I enjoy reading, cooking and photography in my spare time and love a nice cuppa!
