D...More I am a very patient, calm easy to get on with person who enjoys working with others especially the elderly. I provide hourly , companionship the odd overnight stay and respite care. My rates are £20 per hour. I have been actively involved and employed in the care sector since I left college. During that time have built up extensive experience in working and managing residential care settings working in care for 40 plus years having worked my way up from a care assistant to a registered manager. I have also worked in domiciliary care settings, and working with different client groups , over the years. I have achieved NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 and Level 5 in Health & Social Care plus kept up to date with all mandatory training throughout my career , ensuring I'm up to date with all the latest legislation and good practice guidelines. In the main I have always worked with the elderly, which I have found interesting but equally challenging in some cases, although this has helped develop my skills and knowledge in handling different situations. I take pride in everything I do and always provide excellent quality compassionate care. I have a wealth of experience, understanding, patience and empathy, in building a good rapport with clients and their families and frequently told I am very approachable, friendly and will go the extra mile for everyone who needs support. I am very dedicated and passionate about what I do, which is Care. I am a hardworking conscientious person that gives 100% in everything I do. Over the last couple of years I have been working as a private carer for clients who live in their own homes, which I have found interesting and rewarding, which has enabled me to use my vast experience, knowledge, skills and expertise. I have worked with dementia clients for the majority of my career and have a great amount of compassion and understanding and treating everyone as an individual. I 've provided tailored care plan to suit the clients I've worked to ensure they receive the utmost care , specific to their requirements. I have also provided End of Life care for clients ,and ensured their wishes have been carried out as requested. I have been working with a gentleman in his own home over the last couple of years who has advanced stages of dementia so I fully understand dementia covers such a broad spectrum. I am very experienced in all personal care duties , including giving assistance with washing /bathing & bed bathing if required. I have plenty of experience I and training in medication administration. I like to keep busy and will do any admin / household duties to ensure a clean and safe environment. My hobbies and interests are meeting new people, going to the theatre/ cinemas, visiting places of interest.
