I enjoy Live in care placements because it focuses on the client. I can drive but currently renting my clean expired driving license. To help the client live in their home with family, friends and healthcare professionals support them. I see a great benefit in assisting clients within their home, It promotes person not people centred care which removes monotony and by rule ensures the clients wishes to remain in their (family) home. I love to promote a simple service of making the client feel at ease, happy and positive in their home. As a guest I ensure that I provide the top standard of service in healthcare and seek the best results, tailor-made for the clients happiness. CLINICAL CARE SKILLS HCA (England) Vocational Certifications and Skills up to date, including manual handling and Medication administration skills. Including Basic stoma management (cleaning the area and changing bag), Catheter Care- basic hygiene, bag change, application of convene (indwelling or suprapubic), PEG -sight care, Basic first Aid and minor wounds, New stoma, Ileostomy, nephoscopy (first three months), Catheter flushing, PEG for medication or nutrition ( in line with SALT, medical professionals and pharmacists) LIVE-IN CARE SKILLS Languages - As a native, English is my first language, I can express well-structured ideas fluently. I am also an advanced reader and writer with the ability to understand detailed text on a range of subjects. I promote reading and visual descriptions in my care support. I seek to learn BSL Internet and Technology - Proficient in using training systems, to communicate and record client activities, health, wellbeing, routines, and records. Food Preparation and Nutrition - Critically skilled in cooking traditional British meals from fresh ingredients, able to cook healthy meals to meet a client’s specific dietary preferences and needs which are generally well received. Housekeeping and Gardening - Ability to keeping households clean, presentable, and tidy, including light housework, from hoovering, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry. Basic gardening support and flower arranging.
