I have a wealth of experience in both acute and community care setting. I hope to continue to care for people in their home inorder to prevent hospital admissions and support both clients and their families in this priviledged role. My experience will contribute to assessing and thereby preventing unnecessary additional care needs. Besides companionship, I am happy to help with daily activities, such as meal preparation, supporting with good diet and nutrition, light housekeeping, medication reminders, helping with movement, mobilising, exercise, getting around the house safely as well as taking clients for walks and driving them to medical appointments, errands or just getting out! In addition I can assist with bathing, dressing and feeding. I will be happy to assist with post surgery care, contributing to a safe and speedy recovery. In addition to my experience with in the care setting. I have supported my mother with the care of my own father who had dementia. I understand the challenges and pressures that caring for a loved one places on those most immediate and close to a person requiring care. I consider myself a compassionate caring person and will always try and support those who may need that support as well as their loved ones.
