I have been a carer for 15 years now and can honestly say I can not see myself doing anything else. Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with lots of lovely people all needing very different needs from personal care, manual handling, companionship, administration of medication and help with household duties. Each person were individual in their needs and wants so I have delivered a personalised care package to each individual to benefit their needs. I have worked with young adults to more mature adults that have more life experiences. I set my standards high to ensure that all my service users/ customers get the care they need but also complying with all relevant procedures to ensure a safe working and home setting for everyone. I understand that everyone has a different standard of living and different levels of care and I aspire to deliver a personalised service to suit each individual. I have had the pleasure over the years to have days out with my customers and taking them on shopping trips as well as helping with dressing and making sure they are ready for their day ahead. Nothing gives me more pleasure than knowing I can help someone in their day to day routine and to help ease some situations that people maybe finding more difficult to maintain on their own. I’m looking forward to meeting more wonderful people and continuing to develop my care giving skills. I have completed a care certificate and always keep update with all relevant training and will continue to do so. I have had a lot of experience working with people that have dementia, Parkinson’s, mobility disabilities, repositioning, bed sores, bed bound, palliative care, stoma and catheter care (which I learnt on the job and have had previous training in) and helping with rehabilitation. I have learnt all of this and more on the job over my 15 years of work in domiciliary care. I am available between the hours of 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday. I can be available 2 Saturdays in a month from 7am until 2pm if needed. I have a full UK drivers licence with business insurance so I am able to take clients out for trips or appointments with discussions of mileage being covered. I also have experience with cooking wholesome meals and am the sole cook in my family. I also have past experiences working in a kitchen. Please message me if you would like anymore information.
