I have gained a vast amount of knowledge in these settings, constantly updating my skills annually to cover manual handling, medication, safeguarding and first aid training to name a few. I have experience working with many kinds of illnesses including motor neurone disease, MS, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury stroke and more. I absolutely love working in care, particularly caring for people in their own homes and promoting independence as much as possible, allowing people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. I have a good understanding of an individuals needs and think it’s very important to deliver a high standard of care. I’m trustworthy and reliable and will always try and be as flexible as possible. I understand that it can be very hard to start having a carer and I am naturally sensitive and dignified regarding this and have always been able to make my clients feel comfortable. I’m happy to cover all areas of care that is needed and feel I have enough knowledge and understanding to do this.
