I am very fond of the elderly and am easily able to understand them and communicate with them. I’m kind, patient and calm under pressure. I have worked as a carer for many years looking after my Nan, Mum and my husband to end of life. I went on to volunteer on the End-of-Life Programme at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. I gained valuable hands on experience with the beloved patients. I am trained and have experience specialising in end of life care and dementia care. I work closely with family, doctors, and palliative nurses, this includes respite care. I love to cook and I understand the value of good nutrition. I can easily adapt to each customer’s needs, down to a comforting cuppa for traumatised family members. I was born in South Africa and have lived in the UK as a British citizen for 5 years.
