To provide support to people with physical, learning disability and those with medical issues. By helping them to manage day to day tasks. Supporting and encouraging them in challenging times, I have the ability and experience to support in personal care e.g. washing, bathing and dressing and so on. To prepare meals, shopping, assist in medication and other errands. Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect, ability to listen, communicate clearly and build relationships with my clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner. I am an excellent time keeper who is organized and reliable. I respect people with different backgrounds and belief, I am committed to non discriminatory care practice. I have the ability to adapt to changes quickly and make common sense decisions at short notice. I previously worked in elderly home, nursing homes and hospitals many years ago. From my past experience I have a good carer skills by given service users confident, supporting, companionship and encouragement providing emotional support, taking them out on adventures if needed accessing quality social activities which can prolong their life expectancy. My past experience was when we took our elderly service users from one of the care homes, they were very happy and refreshed. My first experience as a carer was in 1993 and worked for 5 years before going back to university and embarked on a different career until I had my son who suffers sickle cell anaemia and I decided to stay at home to look after him, he has now grown and can manage himself now so I decided to give back what I have learnt. Accompany to apointments and social events. : HOME HELP SERVICES - Run errands, collect prescriptions, performing light housekeeping tasks like dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathroom, kitchens and so on. plan and prepare meals, help with shopping and oversee home deliveries, organise and tidy cupboards and check food expiry dates. PERSONAL CARE- Medication reminder/ assist, Help with bathing, dressing and grooming, Help with continence care, assist to eat and drink. provide dementia/ Alzheimer care, provide respite and assist in morning / wake up and evening/ tuck in.
