Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! I am compassionate, patient and a good listener. I enjoy working with people and putting their needs and wants at the centre of all I do to support them. I have almost 5 years experience in the care industry. I have worked with children, adults and the elderly. This includes those with physical and leaning disabilities and without in residential, supported living and their own homes, doing this from Support worker to Deputy manager level. I have experience with both stoma care and PEG feeding, however do not have current training certificates to support this. I pride myself on going out of my way to get to know the people that I am working with to enable me to build a relationship and support their needs, hobbies and interests, making it feel less like a staff/client relationship whilst still remaining professional. This has helped to develop both my compassion, patience and listening skills. After many years in administrative roles, sitting in fromt of a screen for 8 hours a day, I made a decision that I wanted to do something more meaningful with my time. I enjoy and take pride in helping others, so I became a care worker to utilise the skills I have in looking after others and the organisation and people skills I gained in my office work. I enjoy cooking, cleaning and all things domestic. I like to read and improve my knowledge every day.
