I have worked in both domiciliary and live-in care. I have looked after children, adults, and able and bedbound clients, providing personal care, cooking, gardening, cleaning the house, washing and ironing, shopping, and socializing with the clients and their friends and family. I love working as a carer, being in this industry has taught me to be very respectful towards the needy, they are individuals, and their dignity should be respected irrespective of their current situation. I have looked after members of my family who needed care and I have concluded that it may be me one day so I do my best to be a good carer regardless of who my client may be. I love to work as a carer, even though I get paid, I am offering a service and I make sure I do my best to make my client feel comfortable and assured. I love to cook especially cooking a balanced meal to suit the needs of the client. I am flexible in my cooking and always ready to learn new skills. I can drive but do not have my car, I am willing to drive my client's car provided they have insurance that will cover me driving their car, I have driven for over 30 years. I am happy to have my 2-hour break every day or can have a day off in a week whichever the client prefers. I would like to have a two-week settling-in period and can work from 6 weeks, but would like a week halfway between the long period that we agree that I work. I would like my travel expenses paid for both to and back from my home. I hope I can work with you to help make your life comfortable and happier.
