As well as this, I have previously worked for the Ambulance Service as a Community First Responder and Social Services on the safeguarding team. I have experience of administering medications, catheter care, manual handling with the use of hoists, and have extensive first aid and safeguarding training. I have a caring nature and get immense satisfaction from taking care of people, especially those who are elderly and/or vulnerable. I treat those in my care as I would wish any of my family members to be treated; with kindness, dignity and respect. I work well under pressure and I am able to stay calm, make difficult and challenging decisions and try to make a difference to the lives of those in my care. I understand that as a carer, some people require assistance with daily activities and general daily living, which can be a very difficult transition for them. On that basis I act with empathy, understanding and patience and try to place those within my care at ease. I enjoy cooking and baking and will happily assist or prepare meals as required. I ensure that a needs assessment focusses on 'person-centred care' and I try to involve the individual as much as possible with their care plan and associated needs in moving forwards. I am able to work flexibly as my children are independent of me now and I feel that I have the time to support and care for others. I am able to work overnight and my rates of pay are reflective of basic care needs, but may increase depending on daily living needs, functional status and individual care plans. I will work weekends and bank holidays, at a rate of time plus half and double time at Christmas. I try to limit weekend work to every other weekend, to ensure a good work / home life balance. I am fully vaccinated and will happily take regualar LFT's and will wear full PPE where required. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I hope that I am able to respectfully offer care and assistance to either yourselves or your loved ones. Should you have any questions or queries at all then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Alternatively, should I not be what you are searching for then I really do wish you and your loved ones all the very best. Stay safe :-)
