I am a very experienced carer. Excellent command of English as my first language, albeit with a South African accent, which I haven't lost, despite being back in the UK for 20 years! I've been involved in caring in a number of ways for 10 years. During this time I have looked after people from birth to over 100 years old, the oldest being 103, all with a variety of challenges, disabilities, personal quirks and individual requirements. I was a foster carer for children with global development delay, autism, blindness, learning difficulty as well as those suffering from neglect, abuse and trauma. I went on to do live in-care and have experience in advanced dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, I also looked after a lady with paralysis from her neck down. I was involved in rehabilitation at a private hospital for those with brain injury and more recently did domiciliary care and worked in an upmarket residential home for assisted living. I am punctual, reliable, honest, caring, patient, calm and respectful. I can cook, have a good understanding of nutrition, allergy requirements and dietary needs.     Excellent

    Terry has been a great carer. She is very compassionate, caring and helpful. She has kept a good eye on sugar levels, signs of infection and any skin issues, all the things that are likely to go wrong. Terry is very communicative and has kept me in the loop, which was exactly what I wanted to happen. She has an ability to cook very tasty healthy food, that my sugar hungry father-in-law loves. Terry has been such a treasure. Thank you.

    Excellent

    Terry has been exceptional over the last 18+ months providing live in care for my mother. Highly organised, knowledgeable and professional we could not have asked for more. She looked after my mother brilliantly with the perfect balance of caring and firmness dependant on the situation. She also helped us navigate my mothers last few months with support and discretion.I would highly recommned her.
