Initially with children who were in care, whilst working with the families to help them have the child return home, this type of work required me to go to clients' homes making assessments prior to devising behaviour management plans including reward systems for both parents/carer and child to work with. I did this until I took early retirement from local government. I have also been a childminder providing 24/7 care to children from babies to 11years old. This service provided care for parents who were support workers, nurses, and generally for individuals who worked unsociable hours. I closed the business in 2017 to return to further education, where I have gained a BSc first class honours degree in Psychology. I work as a live-in carer, throughout the country. My clients range from individuals with MS and Strokes, as well as early to late stage dementia. I enjoy cooking, reading, learning new things, meeting people, gardening, keeping fit, and driving. I have access to a car therefore I am quite prepared to travel. I am available for local work and for days and nights. I prefer to be in a home with no pets, that way my client has my full attention.
