My working history in healthcare ranges from working with the elderly to young adults. I consider myself to be fortunate to have had a chance to work with vulnerable adults of all age groups and still enjoy it immensely. I am a mother of two boys working full time in today's modern world which is challenging. I believe my tenacity, loving and caring nature has allowed me to enjoy my role as a health support worker. I am a very hardworking person this is evidenced by feedback received from work colleagues and my manager. Having had worked in most challenging areas in healthcare, it has permitted me to develop excellent communication skills. For instance, dealing with young adults with mental illness allowed me to understand that the most important tool in communicating with anyone ill or not, is listening, respect and treating the other person like you would like to be treated. I believe these attributes of respect and considering my clients feelings and views has let me to connect positively with my clients and work colleagues. I highly pride myself in my ability to organise my work loads. I have worked in busy environment for example nursing homes, acute wards especially during pandemic covid 19, were sometimes we had to work short staffed. I am able to organise my work load and render excellent care to my clients. I have a very caring and friendly personality and have a heart for people. I am eager to learn and to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable people.
