I have more than 5 years’ work experience, here in the United Kingdom. My Areas of EXPERTISE includes Support of Young People and kids, Support of adult and people with challenging behavior, I find my job fulfilling and I work passionately to deliver the best in my team. My major area of interest in all my experience in the Care & Support industry is supporting and caring for Vulnerable Young People (Homeless Young Adults, care leavers, unaccompanied young people/ children) I find it very mentally rewarding to help them achieve their independent skills and become fully independent. I am Trained and experienced in PMVA & MAPA(Restrain Training) which are the basic training used as a mental health support worker, when dealing with clients that display extreme challenging behavior or have mental health issues. In addition, I have experience in Domiciliary care, live-in care, I have worked in care homes, and I have had all necessary training to make me efficient and qualified in my job, including growing to become a Senior Support worker and a team leader with over THREE YEARS Experience, I have also worked as a care coordinator, these have given me the opportunity to work in the management team. Thereby managing my team of staff and answering to my manager. I have interviewed, trained and done supervisions for my staff and intending staff. I have seen and monitored improvement of skills from members of my team. Amongst my skills and training in my ability to lip read, and communicate with clients that re unable to speak verbally and some are confined to their beds, I am able to seek their opinion and understand what they want to communicate to myself and other staff members. I would say I am in this job, because I am Compassionate and also very qualified in the areas of the skills, needed for the role/roles applied for. I also do everything for my self-development, learn from those around me, without underestimating anyone. Over the years I have also dedicated myself to building a positive relationship with my Employers, Team mates and with the service users for optimum emotional and behavioral development. Providing a collaborative, can-do attitude to diverse support/ care task for well-rounded, dependable young person support provisions. I have had a great reputation at work, because of the positive feedback from clients, families of service users, Social Workers and other organisation/bodies that work with my team.
