After various jobs I became a health care assistant for a nursing agency as I wanted a rewarding career. I have been a carer for 20 years now working in different fields of work ranging from hospital work,Domiciliary care,learning disabilities respite care and also had experience working a nurse led 2 to 1 package looking after a child with a trachy and assisting the nurse with cough assist, ventilation equipment and suctioning. I am an easy going punctual worker who enjoys chats whilst at the same time getting on with the job. I have a car and a cheeky wee Brompton bike to help me zoom around. Also I have a motorbike licence hoping to get another one soon.

Dougie has done an excellent job supporting my brother. My brother can be difficult to support, however Dougie has managed to build an excellent working relationship with him in a very short space of time. He manages to come into my brothers world making his care giving fun and very person centered. Dougie has good knowledge and excellent practice. He has added value to our small group of carers and has also supported me in my caring role. I recommend him to anybody who is looking for a carer.
