My birth name is KarYun but preferred to be called Kay. I'm a British born Chinese that is trilingual. I was a carer for 5 years from 2017-2022. I first got into care work because I had some experience looking after my late father and thought it would be a good chance to up my experience in this area of work after I finished college so I started being a carer after that. I love the aspect and being able to help others around me that are in need of assistance and help. I have also had some experience not just looking after after elderly but also children as I have worked for a year at at nursery. I have experience dealing with clients that have dementia, incontinence, mobility issues such as reduced mobility and clients that have no physical mobility, mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety including social anxiety. I have experience assisting clients with day to day activities that they may find difficult to do such as shopping. Due to clients that may be lonely due to family not being by their side, I have also had experience with companionship and befriending. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, doing word puzzles, catching up with people I havn't seen in a long time due to work and covid. I have good communication skills, am kind and caring, hardworking, patient, am a good listener and take in consideration the clients physical, personal and emotional needs before making decisions. I am available for hourly rates and can do overnight stays, looking for clients that are preferably more mobile but not a must.
