They need to be cleaned, fed, helped with dressing, oral care & toilet functions, and checked for medical problems. Most of all, I care about the needs & feelings of those whom I look after. I understand their problems and have experience in handling dementia. l know my patients’ names & stories about their lives. They are important people in my life. At home, I listen to music, watch television, read and go on walks with my husband. He cooks meals for me when I get home. On my days off, I cook for him.
