I looked after both my parents an...More I am a thoughtful, loving, empathic. kind carer, and greatly enjoy brightening an elderly person's day. I have a good sense of humour and love listening to the life stories of older people, looking through photographs with them and providing warm companionship. I looked after both my parents and an aunt during the last years of their lives, and more recently have taken care of two ladies with rapid onset dementia at home, prior to them going into care homes. I am happy to cook meals, do housework and laundry, some light gardening, shopping, take clients out for car trips and walks, accompany them to doctor, dentist and hospital appointments, and provide companionship and loving care (like a family member). I am looking for regular weekday hours of work from 1 - 4 hours, according to the needs of the client.
