My experience has taken me to several different care settings, including nursing homes, live-in care, and residential care. I have extensive experience caring for individuals with dementia, multiple sclerosis, behavioural issues, depression, and palliative care.
My approach to care is person-centred. Companionship and friendship are essential qualities for building trust and familiarity with my clients. The safety and wellbeing of those I care for is my top priority. These values I uphold have allowed me to build fantastic relationships with the families and individuals I have cared for.
I am an upbeat person who loves to live life with a smile on my face. I enjoy all things creative and holistic, and I like to share these ideas and activities with my clients whenever possible. I am passionate about exploring different cultures and keeping informed about current affairs and their impact on society. My interests nurture the spiritual outlook I have on life, which I express at my local church and Quaker meeting. English is my mother tongue, and I speak, read, and write fluently. I am computer literate and possess excellent communication and time-keeping skills.
I understand that it has become increasingly difficult to find carers for your loved ones. The thought of having many faces come and go through the door can be daunting. Private care can ensure that your loved one builds a rapport with their carer, creating a sense of familiarity that puts both them and you at ease.
