I really enjoy what I do and getting to know people as individuals. I have a wide range of experience in various needs, such as mild-advanced dementia, visual and hearing impairment, depression and anxiety, autism; I am experienced in working as a team with district nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists and GPs, and can assist with phone calls, appointments and medication collections when needed. I have worked in hospitals, residential care homes, temporary respite facilities, and with individuals in their homes. I do not own a car but I have a full driving licence and 14 years' driving experience. I love to motivate and spend time with people, for example to go out for walks with them and to complete exercises that may have been recommended to them by professionals such as physio or occupational therapists. I respect people's privacy and independence, so I encourage a person to maintain as much independence as possible, but when the time comes for extra help I'm happy to provide that.
