I have been able to make a career out of my passion, which is caring for older people and maintaining their dignity and independence. I take pride in making a valuable impact in peoples' lives, through listening and talking to my clients to ensure I understand and meet their needs. I have experience assisting clients with Challenging behaviour, Dementia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Mental health. I have worked in various clinical settings, including :-Mental health hospitals, residential and nursing homes, but recently I have been focused on live-in care . My interests include travelling to new countries, meeting new people and watching the news. My hobbies include reading newspapers/magazines, watching T.V and cooking. I enjoy working with my Clients, taking them to garden centres, going for lunch, taking walks and going shopping. I enjoy supporting my Clients' in taking care of their personal hygiene, cleaning, cooking, assisting my Clients' with going to bed and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. I have full training in using the hoist, PEG feeds, stoma bag care and giving medication via PEG.
