Also, my desire for embracing being a Health care Support worker is for the satisfaction derived from affecting people's life. The passion and emotional support for caring for patients is something I grew up with as a child shadowing my mum, aunt and elder sister. It's evident that I have something to give out; thus, I fancy this role as a HSW in this industry. I have learnt to apportion tasks in smaller units and set realistic targets. My communication, timekeeping and organisational skills have also helped me function in a team productively. My tolerance and knowledge derived working in some of the most challenging wards like acute medical units, accident & emergency units and critical care units, put together with all the other skills learnt, make me a stronger support worker. It's beautiful when looking into a patient's eyes and sees the gateway to their soul when only a caring touch or word can make a connection. I like being blessed, and I count my blessings daily for all the patients I have helped gain better health or independence in life. I am also trained in: Dementia Awareness, Epilepsy Awareness, Food Hygiene, Handling Medication & Avoiding Drug Errors, Learning Disabilities Awareness, Reducing Restraints in Health and Social Care, Sepsis Awareness, Moving & Handling level 1&2, fire safety, resuscitation level 1,2&3 for both adults & children, safeguarding level 1,2&3 for both adults & children. My rates are negotiable and depend on the individual needs of the client. I am available for hourly care in Basingstoke.
