SL2 5TY 268547 In 2021, at the peak of the COVID19 pandemic, I decided to undertake a health care assistant course. Coming from a finance academic background, this was a major shift from any other course I had done in my life. However, it was necessitated by the need to volunteer at a nursing home which had recently opened in my community. I come from a culture where we highly value the elders in our community, and the chance to interact with them, attend to their daily needs and ensure they are able to carry on with life as comfortably as possible was my driving force. This is only something I was during on my free time; little did I know that it would become a full-time job. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work as a health care assistant in various capacities. I have worked in nursing homes, home-based care, worked as a support worker for persons with learning disabilities and also worked as a mental health support worker in a mental & addictions hospital. I love to treat anyone who is under my care with utmost respect and dignity, no different than what I would like any of my close family to be treated by a carer. I customize my care approach based on the client`s specific needs, because I understand that we are all different. In instances where the client already has a care plan, I strictly adhere to the care plan. Finally, I always listen to those placed under my care; it does not matter if they have severe dementia, or mental illness. We all want to be listened to, and one deserves to be patronized. I`m highly experienced in manual handling. Having worked in various nursing homes, I have come across a wide variety of hoists, specially customized to each service user based on their needs. Moreover, my years working in both home care and nursing homes has provided me with loads of experience when it comes to helping service users with their nutrition and dietary needs. On the other hand, working as a HCA in mental health and addictions treatment program, has been life changing for me. It has taught me to be patient and empathetic, and the realization that sometimes all people need is someone who will give a listening ear without passing judgment. I`m always eager to learn new skills, and working at a new station or with a new client is always an opportunity to learn something new. Furthermore, I`m always keen to learn new things in my role as a health care assistant so that I can continue providing the best service to my clients. I`m flexible to work with both male and female clients.

SL3 8JN 249226 My experience as an employee in the Care sector for many years in a professional capacity, with a specialization on adult nursing has brought me much joy and satisfaction. Caring for a family member as a teenage where I had little or no experience motivated me more to care for people with disabilities. My perspective on how I can enhance and expand care and wellbeing has broadened through my job as a healthcare assistant and a support worker. Empathy, adaptability under pressure, updating care plans, maintaining solid records, working well in teams, ability to communicate with individuals with little or no capacity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills etc.. Are just a few of my qualities. I work in hospitals and nursing homes where duties and obligations are crucial to nursing for example, administering medication to patients pulse oximeter checks, intentional rounds, tracheotomy change, sanctioning, and blood glucose levels, just to mention a few. I provide personalized care and support to vulnerable individuals, assisting them to retain maximum independence. Worked closely with nurses to maintain optimum levels of communication. Help patients feel more comfortable by providing direct care, frequently checking up on them to monitor their vital signs, and support with personal care/bed wash/shower, dental care, hair wash, nail care, delivering meals feeding, and hoisting from bed to chair. moving around in a wheelchair and assisting with visiting from one place to another. standard mins/hourly checks and one-to-one observation. making the bed, taking temperature, EPR, Med chat, tracke change, sanctioning, etc.., and reporting changes or concerns to other members of the patient care team.

SL1 6PP 251221 I am a dedicated healthcare professional with 20 years of experience in hospitals, residential care, and home care settings. I have extensive experience providing one-on-one therapeutic interventions for young people facing mental health illness and eating disorders. Additionally, I have worked closely with elderly clients in both residential and live-in care, supporting individuals with dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, stroke recovery, and post-hip replacement rehabilitation. My compassionate approach allows me to build strong relationships with clients and their families, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care. I am fully equipped to assist with all aspects of personal hygiene, meal preparation, and daily living support. I am also happy to accompany clients on shopping trips, walks, or drives. However, due to allergies, I am unable to work with clients who have pets. I am now seeking a new opportunity where I can utilize my skills and experience to make a meaningful impact on those in need of care and support. I am currently recovering from a small operation so I am looking for work starting middle of April 2025.
