I have had an interest in gaining many experiences to increase my understanding of the profession. I have been privileged to have worked in people's own homes, in care homes and the hospital setting. My training and experience has allowed me to confidently carry out self-employed health care work within a family. I have studied the human body and learnt about interesting subjects, such as skin integrity, which I find fascinating. I have completed many in house training courses, such as first aid and health and safety stoma care and catheter care. I have given person-centred care to people of different ages, backgrounds and health conditions which I find mutually beneficial. I get to learn more about you and you get someone that takes a keen interest in supporting your needs. I do enjoy seeing improvements in someone's quality of life, whatever is manageable for the person. In my private life I get to walk my dog ànd enjoy the fresh air and local scenery.

I have over 9 years experience supporting vulnerable adults and young people with Dementia, learning difficulties and significant physical disabilities, including vascular dementia, autism, mental health, challenged behaviour, stroke, muscular dystrophy etc. These experiences have made reflect on the different interpersonal skills and attitudes required to adapt to the situation and the client to maximise participation, but also to build a good rapport where trust is important. I have been able to make a positive difference in individual’s life by follow standards and helping them to live independent, secure, and safe from harm. I keep myself motivate and always have a good attitude. I did additional studies in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People’s Service which brought me more experience in the sector. I also promoted numerous changes and improvements to my client’s life, by introducing menu plans, food intake, health charts, observation charts, repositioning charts etc. I had the ability to think on my feet to be able to prioritise tasks, but also ensure others tasks are covered. I have always shown great flexibility to meet the needs of the client, sometimes at short notice which shows the unpredictability of managing vulnerable clients. I have a good understanding regarding the management of vulnerable adults, safeguarding policy, but also issues surrounding mental capacity. I understand the importance of working alongside their families who also requires to be well supported as much as the customers involved in the care. Equally, I have developed acute sensitivity towards subtle changes in a person’s behaviour or presentation that may indicate all is not well. I feel confident that I understand policies and procedures to address concerns and I am very proud that at times – however difficult, I put the needs of my customers first. I am able to clearly and confidently lease with other members of the multidisciplinary team involved in customer’s support plan as this encourages good communication and facilitates continuity of care. I have done several trainings in complex care. I also understand the need for hydration, good nutrition, skin care/pressure care, medication as part of the client’s holistic management. Those trainings helped me to understanding these vulnerable people conditions have multifactorial elements of care and I feel confident in being able to give the right support, but also communicate with those specialist services responsible to the specific care.

PL4 6BW 193366 Kind, caring and hardworking. At least that’s how my previous clients, friends and family would describe me. I have 9 years experience in the care industry working and providing high levels of client centered care. I enjoy the social interactions, broadening my mind and getting to know my clients and their families on a more personal level as well as maintaining professionalism. I have a gcse (o-level) in health and social care as well as a level 3 diploma in adult care, although I would like the opportunity to help the younger generation (children and adolescents) also, as I can relate to all ages of life. I specialize in complex dementia needs and have the most experience in atypical and typical Parkinsons and Lewy bodies. I have worked a lot with motor neurone disease and in palliative care. From my past clients I have felt honored working in end of life palliative care. The first time I saw death, when I was a child, I felt a little scared, but now I have come to realize that death is inevitable - from my time working in the ambulance service - and getting to spend those last moments caring for someone is a beautiful as well as very sad part of life. I enjoy driving and have a clean driving license and enjoy both planning and taking clients out for scenic trips and going to national trust places for them to enjoy the breath taking views, smells and experiences. I was just leaving school when I got my first job as a carer. I thought I'd try it out and see how it went because my mother and I used to visit a care home every Friday afternoon to see a friend. I tried it and the only feedback I've ever gotten is thanks, gratitude and positivity, so I soon realized that this was what I'm good at so why not continue. I love to ski! In fact, it’s my favourite hobby so much so that when I was 7 yrs old I had a skiing accident and fractured my knee cap. (I still ski now in case you wondered.) I am a pianist of 18 yrs and in my own space I can play pieces such as ‘Moonriver’, ‘Canon in D’, ‘make me a channel of your peace’ ect. I like both classical and modern music. Really sorry, but I think Mozart is overrated although I have been to the house in which he was born in Salzburg, Austria. Currently I am in the process of updating my training certificates, until this is completed I am looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting or personal care. Please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. ?

I'm based in Devon. Most of my life has involved taking care of my family, first of all, my children, then later, my elderly parents, and recently my grandson. I decided to become a professional carer in 2021. I'm given the feedback that I am good at taking care of people and have a kind, professional and patient nature. I love the naturalness of the work and the daily routine. It makes me happy to help others to be happy. I'm hard working and I have extensive experience in a variety of settings. Working in my client’s own home and environment is my favourite setting to be in. I enjoy helping keep a home tidy and organised, also attending to any admin matters that are needed such as contacting medical services. I'm a nature lover at heart and especially enjoy working with clients who appreciate nature. My greatest amount of experience is with dementia and I feel very comfortable in that realm. I am experienced in end-of-life care. By the way, my background is in nutrition. While I am passionate about healthy eating I absolutely respect the wishes of my clients when it comes to dietary choices.

TR18 3LL 261938 I have been a Carer for many years and I find the work very rewarding. I love a challenge and I'm not afraid of hard work. I love getting clients involved with activities such as baking or doing puzzles. I always respect the client and their homes and lways give them choices unless they don't have the capacity. I always respect their decision but if I feel it is not in their best interests I find a way to let them know this without causing distress. Dignity is most important and I treat them how I would want my parents treated with utmost respect and dignity. Don't always get it right but keep at it till I do. I always think it isn't easy having to accept you need help and having a stranger in your home can be awkward but I do my best to make the client feel at ease. I am very bubbly also calm depending on the clients nature. I enjoy looking after clients with dementia early stages and advanced, improving a clients quality of care is very rewarding. I am well trained in using a hoist and I always reassure a client when carrying this task out as it can be distressing for them. I also specialise in pallatve care knowing how difficult this is for client and family I treat them with the upto respect.
