I previously worked as support worker in different care home via agencies for 4 months. Then I worked as health care assistant in Colchester Hospital for a year. And recently, I was the one who looked after a family member who is paraplegic, he has spinal injury with stoma and catheter. I am currently looking for live in positions where I can work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, after a settling in period with my clients this can be increased to longer. As I do not drive I am looking for clients that are near to good forms of public transport. I am happy to travel within 100 miles of Colchester area, travelling expenses would have to be covered by the client for 1 way journey. My various aspects of employment and life experience have lent themselves to my becoming a conscientious, professional and dedicated housekeeper/carer with high standards and good culinary skills. During my children’s young teenage years, I became a foster carer for abused teenagers, which I found very challenging but rewarding. In this time, I undertook an NVQ1 course in ceramics and pursued my hobbies of arts and crafts, namely glass-painting and floristry, which I promoted to all the children in my care. As my children furthered their education, it seemed to me a natural progression to become a carer.
