DT4 7EA 135728 I had previously attended to a close relative for a number of years (myeloma), a later client (cancer, arthritis, dementia), and lately stoma care, anxious moods and depression. Extra Qualification: CSTF : Care Skills Training Framework. (Large file).My mode of care has always been to encourage the client (friend) going for walks (if possible). I may read to the client if they request or we watch a film. Activity always helps to instil a sense of purpose in the client being cared for. Patience, I have learnt to have and adapting to each client's personality and they get used to mine. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

I always knew my career path would lie within healthcare as my passion is helping people and my skills involve communication and my ability to empathise and always put others at the heart of what I do. I started my career as a domiciliary home carer for older adults and those with dementia. I loved this role and did this full time for a year before continuing part time whilst I studied towards my BSc in Psychology which I achieved in July 2014. I then moved to working in a residential home supporting young adults with autism, epilepsy, mental health conditions and challenging behaviours. This role challenged me but I learnt so much and really enjoyed working with people with additional needs. This led me to the last six years which I have spent working within a community learning disability team in the NHS. This role gave me great experience in working with adults with a range of physical and mental illnesses, disabilities and conditions. I have a range of different experiences and qualifications including manual handing, first aid, basic life support, medication management and epilepsy. My hobbies and interests include music, running (I am not the fastest but like to do the distance!) walking my dog, and spending time with family and friends. I am very sociable and chatty and enjoy being around people. I also spent some time recently volunteering as a events first aider for St John Ambulance which involved providing basic life support and other first aid to the public at a range of events including the London marathon and bath rugby games. I believe that every person I work with deserves the best standard of care I can provide, every single day. If you have any questions for me please feel free to get in touch. I am working alongside another role but am happy to consider requests on an individual basis. I have experience with catheter and stoma care but may need a refresher. I am always willing to learn new skills. {"field_care_type_first":"0","field_care_type_second":"0","field_care_type_third":"0","field_care_type_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":"0","field_care_type_sixth":"0","field_care_type_seven":"0"}

BH15 1RJ 131688 Hi my name is Karlene but usually my colleagues call me Kay. I am from the lovely sunny island of Trinidad and Tobago. I have been in the health care profession for over 20 years. I’ve worked in the hospital and this is where I gained most of my knowledge, training and experience and this is where my passion and motivation grew tremendously in caring for others. I have always taken caring very seriously and as such have devoted myself not only to ensure the health of the patient but also their happiness. I believe all clients should be treated equally with respect and dignity. I am a jovial, empathetic and devoted individual who takes my clients needs very passionately and it gives me comfort knowing my clients are contented. I’m currently working one to one with a young client with autism and learning disabilities, I am always willing to broaden my spectrum and further my career in the health care profession. I am fully vaccinated as well as do lateral flow test once/ twice per week. Over all I am very hard working, committed and am always willing to learn more, as this is a passion that I hold true to my heart. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4"}

OFFERING RESPITE WORK rather than long term placement for foreseeable. I have 35 yrs plus experience in caring for people with different needs, in a variety of settings. I am looking for respite care opportunities covering carers breaks or extra care support needed as a transition from hospital back home. I also enjoy supporting people who need some support to live an independent, full and rich life. Also available for palliative care support. I have had previous experience in this area and appreciate the need for patience, calmness, kindness and flexibility. My primary aim has been to support people to remain living as comfortably and independently as possible at home, to enjoy life despite of challenges and ensuring the family members are also listened to and feel equally supported in collaboratively caring for their loved ones. I worked for a company that works with service users with Parkinson's for 5 yrs and I trained carers in understanding the particular needs of those living with this condition . I have supported people with dementia, anxiety and mental health issues, strokes, learning and physical disabilities, end of life and much more. For the past 7yrs I have been a self-employed carer working in the community. All my work has arrived through personal recommendations. Recently a client said of me " you are irreplaceable, there is only one Helen!" My care is of the highest standard and tailored to your needs. I am happy to arrange a meeting with you to discuss this in person before agreeing any shifts should that be of help? Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
