I feel absolutely passionate about caring for people (and animals) and it gives me great joy. I enjoy communicating with everyone and anyone, young or old, but could also be a great listening ear. Ticking off tasks, however big or small drives and motivates me and I am absolutely up for a challenge. It would be great to know where our interests and/or hobbies overlap or learn a new skill to enjoy with my clients. Spending time outdoors, staying fit and eating (and cooking) healthy is another of my key interest. Apart from doing care work, I work part time at a secondary school and coach triathlon voluntarily. I take pride in what I do and always put my best self forward. Thanks in advance. Hendrik

Hp13 7sx 25404 Everyone is great in her/his speciality, being able to satisfy what the client needs, want or expect will make one great, having a good relationship, having a professional bond with your client makes one great. Knowing that the client is smiling, happy, trust me, is free to communicate with me with whatever they want to makes one great. Living with a total stranger day and night and at the end depending on each other makes one great. Being able to listen to and offer helping hands makes one great. Being great is knowing that I am not doing it for money but making that client look and feel great. I have worked in the health and social care setting for nearly ten years. I have worked as a healthcare assistant in the hospital, as a support worker in the community at residential homes and now I am doing live-in. I like to help individual, support them to continue to be able to live independently in the comfort of their homes, care for those who need to be cared for and so on. I like sports like tennis, snooker, watching world cup football, swimming and going for walks including exercising. I prefer to cook meals from scratch and l also like to relax and chill watching some television programmes.

RG41 1EP 210883 Hi my name is Rachel J. I live in Wokingham . I have been a carer for 15 years.. I started off running my own cleaning business and what I found was as the clients became older, then became a carer.. I really enjoyed doing this and then went to work for a company, a care company which I worked for them for four years and I decided to branch out by myself as a carer. I have lots of references from different people that I have cared for, I have a DBS check and I have all my certificates for moving and handling first-aid..

RG22 5LQ 290830 I'm a 65-year-old male carer, widowed and retired from a career in academia and business consulting, transitioning into care work in 2018. I have worked with a wide range of support needs, including Parkinson’s, stroke, COPD, MS, sepsis, dementia, spinal cord injury, heart surgery and general infirmity. I'm also the author of a nutrition guide and cookbook for carers. My service is highly personalised, with a focus on problem-solving and facilitating as high a quality of life as possible. Am I the right carer for you? To help you decide, you may like to know some specific details about what I can offer and how I work, such as: •  As a male carer, I can attend to all practical and personal needs of male service users. In the case of female service users, it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to provide intimate personal care. However, I’m happy to support ladies with all other needs such as moving and handling, nutrition, companionship and household support. •     I am passionate about preparing healthy, nutritious meals. We will discuss your personal preferences and specific dietary needs and develop a meal plan from there. •     Hoisting: If you require hoisting or other mechanical lifting aids, I can offer experience with a wide range of equipment. In the case of mobile floor-based hoists, safety regulations require that a second trained person is available to assist. This may be another care professional or a suitably trained family member or friend. •     Geographical coverage: I’m happy to support clients in most of England and Wales, up to about 300 miles from my home in the southeast. •     Driving: I have a clean driving licence and full business insurance, and drive a large vehicle in which wheelchairs can easily be carried. I’m more than happy to transport and accompany clients to appointments and social engagements (with the exception of religious services). Mileage is charged at £0.45 per mile for outings and travel between my home and the service user’s address. •     Pets: Unfortunately I am allergic to cats and therefore unable to work in households with them. Other species of pets are no problem. •     Smokers: On the topic of allergies, I’m also allergic to tobacco smoke and therefore unable to work in smokers’ households. •     Night support: If you require support at night, we can discuss the extent and nature of such support, as it may attract fees or a need for additional care personnel. •     How long will I be with you on any given occasion? The duration of support spells is always negotiable, depending on your requirements and my availability at the time.
