I would sit with her and I would notice a lot of Nursing staff running around doing all that they can to make the patients comfortable, when mum demised I decided I wanted to carry on working supporting others with different health needs.Whenever I support the individual it is of utmost importance that I maintain privacy, dignity, as well as promoting choice and independence. I have had a great opportunity working in different care settings including NHS hospitals, private care homes for the elderly with various diagnoses, supported living for adults with learning disabilities, adults with physical disabilities, mental health disorders, palliative care, as well as end of life care.
