DT6 5JE 2183 I enjoy taking care of people/homes/pets and plants and find it very rewarding. I am very calming and friendly and a holistic therapist part time. My experience started out as a live-in carer for a spinal injury care company. I also worked for a care agency, where I cared for a girl with disabilities, there was always 2 carers in this role and we took her to school, administered medication and checked blood and ketone levels. Within this agency, I covered many different care homes and agencies across Bristol. I also supported 2 ladies privately, both had a spinal injury, where I supported with personal care, using a catheter, cooking and a lot of driving. I like driving and I am a very careful driver, I can drive an automatic and a manual car. My preference is home care as I love seeing people so relaxed in their own home. I am also a complementary therapist, so naturally, I am a gentle caring person. I love working with all ages, but particularly fond of the elderly. I used to go into a few care homes in Bristol and offer mini treatments, this is at a dementia home and one of my friends who is like a grandma had dementia. I am a fantastic listener too! I am now back living in Dorset and looking forward to caring for people that need support in this area. I would prefer a minimum of 2 hours + per visit.

BA3 3YG 157616 Hello, I am Michelle I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years, holding various roles. I was a support worker for ten years giving carers a break from their care role. My clients were all of different ages and had individual care needs. My experience has been with dementia, long-term illnesses, mental health conditions and physical disabilities, and a lot of domiciliary care. I am a caring kind individual and believe good communication skills go a long way. I also have palliative care experience, I understand how being a full time carer can have an impact on someone life. I had been a foster carer for several years and my most recent job is working in a specialist school for children with complex needs. I have been told I have a calming voice, caring nature and a non-judgemental attitude. It's not often you don't see a smile on my face, I always try to turn the negative into a positive. What I enjoy most about my job is what I learn from those I care for. I have studied psychology with the OU for many years and this has given me a great insight into human nature I am able to reflect on my skills and will always think about what I could have done differently.

I have 35 yrs plus experience in caring for people with different needs, in a variety of settings. I am looking for respite care opportunities covering carers breaks or extra care support needed as a transition from hospital back home. I also enjoy supporting people who need some support to live an independent, full and rich life. Also available for palliative care support. I have had previous experience in this area and appreciate the need for patience, calmness, kindness and flexibility. My primary aim has been to support people to remain living as comfortably and independently as possible at home, to enjoy life despite of challenges and ensuring the family members are also listened to and feel equally supported in collaboratively caring for their loved ones. I worked for a company that works with service users with Parkinson's for 5 yrs and I trained carers in understanding the particular needs of those living with this condition .
