I provided community nursing support in South Africa to phyciatric nurses and midwives in the community. This would be first aid out in the field, counseling to victims of domestic abuse, providing resource information as well as supporting aids patients, with daily care, this palliative care would be daily washing, eating, companionship. I also worked closely with social services to provide care to abandoned babies and children, it has always been my understaning that people are unique and wonderful. We all fundamentally need and deserve the BEST possible care, respect and support to live our best and chosen life. I consider it a privledge to be "allowed" to help someone in various ways through their day. I have delivered suport in many various ways, from domicillian to live in care, for a variety of diagnoses. From daily pad changes to showers or baths, meal preparations and shopping support. Ever case is individual and personalised according to each person's needs. I also follow care plans as required. I have worked for 20 + years delivering personal care, support and companionship, I have worked in hospitals , personal homes, care homes and supporting people in the community. I am happy to provide hoisting and handling as a second carer , or to be discussed should moving and handling not involve hoisting, please let me know your needs and I am happy to help if possible. Going through COVID 19 pandemic has been any eye opening for me, a lot of people require help and and support in caring and receiving treatment.l know l am capable of doing this caring job. I have worked more than 20 years in the hospital environment and I am able to apply the skills of dealing with infection control which is the most crucial situation to be considered. Living with love ones on special treatment like diabetes l always provide support by using my nursing knowledge to raise awareness and treatment. Acquiring knowledge it will be of great achievement to my family and the community as I have developed a lot of attachments with people around me.I have also discovered through my experience lam able to identify people’s needs and being close to them you can help them giving more information. I have very excellent communication skills with different people with different care needs. My hobbies include going to church ,gardening at the allotment and before Covid19 use to prepare food for homeless people.Also visiting old people around my parish catholic community supporting and giving them companionship. I like to talk and make someone smile and appreciate,also like to help people.
