KY15 4DD 267106 Hello there! I have over 20 years experience in the Care industry and in supporting individuals with their daily lives. In this time I have developed many varied skills, which I execute with compassion and a professional approach. I am a hard worker and enjoy getting to know my clients so I can support their needs, interests and hobbies as best I can. It’s good to share stories & experiences of life. I respect & value my clients’ privacy and I support independence where appropriate and possible. I am an efficient house keeper and like to keep my clients houses clean & tidy. I enjoy helping my clients look their best at all times & have experience in all aspects of personal care- such as self grooming, dressing, hygiene needs. Assistance with cooking, cleaning, administrative & house hold duties are all in my remit of care. I have a full driving licence & enjoy taking clients out & about if they wish, as part of a healthy lifestyle ie walks/ wheelchair in the fresh air; to visit friends & family; shopping; or places of interest. I am happy to work on a daily basis or provide 24 hour care as well as restpite care. (This may be dependant on the geographical location of my clients home). After many years of working with children with assisted learning & physical needs, with both the public & private sector I moved towards caring for the elderly. I became a self employed private carer, both as a daily support worker and 24 he care as part of a team, spanning nearly 12 years now. I am a creative person with an interest in the Arts. I was a trained ballet dancer in my youth, so very much enjoy watching dance on the TV or theatres. I love to be in nature whether for a walk in woods or beaches, walking dogs or gardening. I like to cook healthy meals & soups but perhaps need more practice with baking! Watching old movies is also a favorite pastime as well as reading. I enjoy peacefulness and activities such as board & word games, drawing & painting. As a Christian, I am happy toto take my clients to their preferred place of worship. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and if you fell I may be a good fit for you & your needs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me- I’d love to hear from you. PH11 8DH 115771 I am a mum to 4 lovely children and have worked in care for 20 years with a few short breaks for starting a family and studying for my degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Psychology. I enjoy having nice walks with my family and dogs in the lovely countryside where we live. I have also been a volunteer puppy walker for the Guide Dogs for 5 years now, caring for the pups in our home from around 8 weeks of age until they reach their sight traing age at aroung 18 months. I started as an Auxiliary Nurse in my local NHS hospital 20 years ago which allowed me to develop skills and knowledge in different care settings. I have been a self employed carer for 6 years working through my local councils Direct Care scheme. I have my own transport and can be extremely flexible. I am patient, compassionate and respectful of my clients needs and wishes. I am a professional carer with a friendly and empathic manner. I believe a carer should give their clients 100% and believe clients should be treated with respect and dignity at all times. I have hands on experience with catheter care, stoma bag care, moving & handling and oxygen therapy via mask or trachea. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

KY8 5EY 113906 Hi I am Gillian, I am 52 yrs old, outgoing, very chatty empathetic to the needs of others. I enjoy socialising and meeting others, I fit in to any situation. I enjoy driving whether it's 2 miles or 40 miles. I have been previously employed as Support practitioner. I have supported service users in their own home and in the local community. Assisted with access to the local community and attending various events that were of interest to the individuals. Supporting them to attend and maintain appts for health, hospital and their Gp. My time I have gained lots of experience and certification. Especially in Mental health first aid, Food hygiene, Autism awareness, Positive behavioral support, Manual handling. I am also a certified First aider. Previously I was a House Manager in private Retirement living complex in Edinburgh for McCarthyStone management services. in this position I was based in 2 buildings of 50 apartments for the over 65s age group. I coordinated various elements in this job. Especially working in social interaction and encouraging participation in events that I organised in the communal areas. I worked through the pandemic, which sadly I was the only person entering the building. When no relatives could. I assisted with shopping and ordering with supplies, overseen the the constant cleaning of the buildings. I gained lots of experience with the Home owners whom needed support due to poor health. interacted with their families and liaising with social work,GPS and other care providers to get access to services that were required to live a full healthy life style. I am also a hairdresser of 30 years. which could be beneficial to those clients whom may want to have their hair done at home. I look forward to hearing from you. KY4 8PA 236975 Having gone through rigorous training and also having worked in care homes for over 6 years looking after children, young adults and the elderly, I see myself being confident and able to handle lone work as a self-employed individual. I am a compassionate and enthusiastic carer with a knack for taking care of the vulnerable ones in the comfort of their residences and also in the care homes. This aspect of my work ethics is very natural with me, having worked hand in hand with my mother who retired as a nurse. I had time to understudy her in how she helped the elderly ones during which we visited them in their homes and provided their personal needs ranging from personal care, administering medication, dressing their wounds and keeping them company, also with the practicals I undertook during my school days in the United Kingdom and partly during my stay over there . As it stands I look forward to doing that again because it makes me a fulfilled being seeing that I could render services to the elderly and the vulnerable ones empathetically and with compassion and make them happy. I can work conveniently alone with no supervision. Teamwork, honesty, kindness and empathy are my usual way of life. Some of my hobbies are Music and dance, research, cooking, exercise both indoors and outdoors, writing and presenting reports. My strength is tailored towards Kindness,effective communication, dedication to duty, never wanting to leave tasks uncompleted, I am trustworthy and reliable. Some of my attributes in offer are managing people, organizing, planning, taking initiative and effective communication and excellent report writing. I have acquired enough skills in moving and handling, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy(PEG) feed, Dementia care levels 1&2 to name but a few, mostly on complex care. I have done live-in care and domiciliary care with specialization in incontinence management and I can always prove my experiences in these areas. I had taken care of an individual with Last stage dementia and one with Parkinson's disease who used PEG to take medication. Finally I work hard to meet the satisfaction of my clients and my service users and also commit a lot of unsocial hours to my work ethics knowing full well that if there are no service users, I do not have a job. Feel free to contact me for more details about my self-employment skills and experiences. I look forward to serving you soon. Thanks in Anticipation. KY16 9XW 241112 Availability update, Sept 2024 - Hourly: I am now available for short hourly assignments in the Fife and Tayside areas, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays only. Live-in & overnight: I will be available continuously from the 19th to the 30th of December (inclusive) for one-off live-in and overnight assignments, anywhere in the UK. --- I am a Scottish lady with a Law degree who decided to go into care and housekeeping. I started medical school in St Andrews on the 7th of September this year and hope to combine this with occasional hourly care assignments in the local area, as well as live-in work during holiday times. I have been a carer since late 2021, undergoing full residential training with a live-in agency. In my time with the agency I gained experience working with MND, learning disabilities, Parkinsons, stroke, catheter care and late-stage dementia, among others. In May 2022 my friend had a stroke and I was invited by her family to move in and help her to recover. I lived with her as a carer and a friend until June 2023 when she sadly passed away. Since my friend's passing I have worked with a variety of clients through Curam, as well as with a private client from October until March this year. Up to this point my references have been uniformly positive. I have two 'Excellent' recommendations on Curam. I would describe myself as independent, conscientious and an organiser. If your environment is very cluttered or disorganised, this would need to be sorted out before I can start working with you. I do not charge clients for travel to or from placements. I have a full driving licence (manual and automatic) and am insured to take clients in my car. Two practical points: 1. I cannot commit to a placement until the Service Agreement has been approved. Recently (May 2024) a client made a firm offer but pulled out several days later, on short notice. 2. I ask clients to settle their invoices before work begins. Because of a difficult experience in the past, I will not travel to you until this has been done. These funds are held safely by Curam until after the end of the work period and will be refunded if for any reason the work is not completed. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 3"}

I believe it is important that each and every individual is included in the decisions being made about their care and their likes, dislikes and preferences and are first and foremost when implementing their care plan. In my previous employment my role as a care coordinator involved creating care plans, and implementing the care plans to the highest standard. As care coordinator I also communicated with other multidisciplinary agencies to keep the client safe, but to also make sure they received the highest standard of quality care and support making sure to always promote independence when able and making sure the client always feels respected and dignified. 2 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}
