TS17 5GJ 210124 I am an adaptable carer, who has a person centred approach to clients, conscientious, kind, caring and compassionate and enthusiastic care assistant with experience in providing a professional care service to the elderly with dementia-early, mid or late stages. Also experienced working with adults suffering from complex needs, mental health issues, and learning disabilities especially autism spectrum. Having an excellent understanding of promoting privacy and dignity whilst enhancing independence and rehabilitation. A proven ability to deal with physically and emotionally demanding care patients and to successfully help them to retain, regain, and develop skills needed for independent living. Below are some of the duties that I have gained in my previous employment as a care assistant. Helping clients with transportation, house cleaning, personal care/support, and maintaining hygiene. Providing care to clients in their own homes and in the community. Liaising with other healthcare professionals such as district nurses and GPs (multi-disciplinary team). Besides working, I enjoy spending time with my family (wife and children), ensuring as a family we engage in activities that helps us grow together and it is very important having that balance between home and work. I like to socialise, meet new people, travelling, going for sports events, especially football and cricket, watching movies and trying something new. I knew that taking that first step, captivating knowledge and skills in the healthcare sector, was very beneficial in transforming the lives of those who work and those who receive support. In 2010, I graduated, obtaining an MSc of Science in Public Health at Anglia Ruskin University. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}

TS13 4LF 6485 I HAVE HAD BOTH OF THE COVID VACCINE JABS available from October onwards Hi i'm Trish .. I am 53 years old. I have been working as a carer now for 34 years... I have worked in a varied selection of settings, nursing homes, residential homes and hospitals. I have been working as a live-in carer again now for nearly 5 years. In all honesty I prefer it. It is more personal, less stressful and I can give attention to one person instead of trying to spread myself out between a lot of people.... I keep all of my training up to date, most of which I pay for myself. I work mainly with dementia, all stages, MS, ME, COPD, and also palliative / end of life care. I am trained in using majority of lifting devices and stand assistance equipment. I have 2 cats and a border collie so I am an animal lover. I enjoy walking and going to the cinema and I love going to the lakes with my partner of 8 years. I do drive and have my own car, with business insurance. I have my own pa insurance also. My DBS is on the update service and can viewed if needed. I don't mind traveling for work, I cover Norfolk, Suffolk, West and North Yorkshire, , Wales and some parts of surrey, also Cambridgeshire as I have family there. I do charge mileage capped at £50 as it is often a long way for me to drive, often having to drive between 3 and 8 hours, to get to a client. I do have family outside Weymouth, Cambridgeshire and in wales so i can work nationwide. I like to drive so distance is never an idsue. My partner lives in Keighley so I can easily work that area. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}

I am passionate about my role as a support worker and enjoy working with clients on a one to one basis; I believe that enabling the elderly to remain independent and living in their own home is the best way of providing support. I have a genuine desire to help people and find it rewarding being able to build personal relationships, while improving the quality of the lives of my clients. DL14 6FH 51319 In my younger years, I was an education welfare officer for the local authority. I took voluntary redundancy after 20 years and started running my own business, as well as volunteering as an art therapist at Teesside Hospice. I then went to Australia for 5 years, where I helped a friend with Quadriplegia achieve his objectives and travel around Europe. I came back to the UK in April 2021 and took up a position as a live-in carer in Wiltshire for 18months. After this I became a Personal Assistant and carer paraplegic gentleman in Northampton. I'm trained in manual evacuation, sterile changing of dressings, care of suprapubic and lifting and handling. I would now prefer to work within a couple of hours' drive from home in Durham or York. Any client will find me friendly, reliable, honest, and caring. My aim is to care for a person in the same way I would like to be cared for when it's my turn. I have a holistic approach to my work. I can cook meals from around the world but also very happy and able to turn out simple tasty British cuisine. I have my own car and a clean driving licence. My enhanced DBS is up to date, too. My previous clients and their families would be happy to provide references, as would my previous employers. I'm very happy to be considered for emergency relief work if needed. dependants in my own life I decided I skills as a live-in 18months. I’m Joe. I have several years experience as a professional carer and additionally, I looked after both my parents for many years. I specialise in helping those with Dementia. I am based between London and the Nortb East of England, so am able to work throughout the UK. I usually work on a Live in basis, either full time on my own or job sharing, several weeks on/several off, alongside another carer. I can also work waking or sleeping nights. I am in the process of renewing my driving licence and have my own car. If you would like to discuss your needs, please message me. There is no commitment on your part. About me : I am well liked and caring person, working at a pace you are comfortable with. I’ll always be sensitive to your needs, appreciating that there will be times when you need hands on support and others where your privacy needs to be respected, my being in the background in case I am needed. In terms of duties, I am adept at the full range and carer performs : admin, washing/dressing, medications, cooking and cleaning, companionship and shopping. I enjoy tv, music, art, conversation and love gardening, so if that is important to you, you can be sure that, together, we will have your garden looking perfect I try to make each day interesting for my client. For example, looking at the news/current affairs/favourite tv programmes and talking about what is happening in the world and locality. Using board games, puzzles and pictures, reading, music and photo albums to stimulate laughter and happy memories. Clients often like to reminisce about the places they have lived and there are lots of clips on you tube, showing towns as they were and are now, which can be of interest. And for those able to get out and about, I enjoy accompanying clients on journeys, be this shopping, cafes, community or gardening centres, or arts and craft events, etc. Additionally, I’m aware of the importance of light exercise, to retain flexibility and muscular strength in old age, be this short supported walks. a tour of the garden, or even chair based movements. I am also very much aware of the need to keep loved ones informed at all times, of any development that may require their attention. And I take the responsibility very seriously of liaising with health professionals and documenting advice/decisions taken, particularly in regard to medications.. To this end, I usually keep a record sheet for each client, recording any important information/developments on a daily basis. Additionally, if a client were to experience a change in their condition (as often occurred with my own father), I am competent at reporting those to district nurses, gp and other health professionals, and in the necessary follow up. Overall, I am a calm head on old shoulders and am used to responsibility and decision making, having held senior management positions in my professional working life. But it is in retirement that I have found my true vocation, caring for others and I really enjoy being able to help people in their elder years. Joe. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 5, 3"}

TS19 0AJ 5515 I have more than 9 years of service in the care sector including working in the NHS hospitals, private hospitals, mental hospitals and institutions, drug and alcohol institutions, home care and learning and disability homes. My experience in the NHS and private hospitals involved working in all wards ranging from A&E, Medical Assessments Units, medical, surgical wards and theatre where I gained a lot of valuable experience and exposure. The three years of working with people suffering from mental health issues, drugs and alcohol rehabilitation taught me resilience and I am equipped to work in different environments. I love reading, exercises and walking. I like using the computer just to keep up with technology.
