I’ve worked in nursing and Residential Homes, live in carer in the USA, and became a qualified social worker in the UK and abroad. My experience has enabled me to have a broad knowledge of appropriate care required to maintain individuals in there chosen places of residence. I approach my given assignments holistically reviewing all aspects of the best outcome for the individual and the extended family members who are actively involved in supporting the individual with decision making. I feel I am a rounded, grounded with a wide experience not just with hands on care, but with multidisciplinary agencies having worked in communities for older adults. Caring for others has become a very personal task for me, having cared for my own sister who passed away at the age of 52, and 12 months later my father who I also cared for passed away. I believe this is more than a job, I am placed in a position of trust, trusted by families to provide the very best care for there loved ones, truthful at all cost, show courtesy at all time, manage challenging aspects of the role placed in and acknowledge areas which become unmanageable. I once owned my own day centre for the elderly two years before Covid 19, I was deeply perturbed by the local authorities decision to close all day centres in my city. This left the elderly, alone, isolated, depressed some with no social intervention or interaction each day. My professionalism is an important factor to me and therefore I go above and beyond for others in my role.

DY8 4UJ 300473 Hi, I am a mature lady who has always worked in care throughout my career. I trained as a nurse in 1987, I raised two boys and now have fabulous grandchildren. I pride myself in giving individual person centered care, I retired from nursing in 2017 and continued as a carer. My experience covers many conditions and illnesses with lots of different types of people requiring care. In recent years I've enjoyed caring for people in their own homes, I'm happy cooking, doing housework and caring for pets amongst other general household chores. I hope that I can help someone with their needs while they stay in their own homes with familiar things and people around them. The most important thing is to build a relationship with the person needing care and with their support network too. This hopefully brings positive feelings which can help with sometimes challenging times, for the family. I'm based in the Midlands and I'm happy to provide hourly care if it's fairly local, I'm also happy to work for all day shifts or live in care over the whole week further away from the Midlands, I really enjoy rural settings, driving for up to two hours approximately isn't a problem. I am unable to stay awake overnight or even to work late into the evening. Being woken through the night to attend to someone is absolutely fine, unless it becomes unsettled nights that become ongoing. I'm very happy to video chat so that we can ensure I'm the right person for your requirements. Thanks for reading this and I hope we can chat more, Sally.

ST17 9HW 106979 I've been a carer for 3 years now. I have experience with cerebral palsy, stroke, cancer, early stage dementia, parkinson, huntingdon, taking clients abroad, respite, hoisting etc. I can prepare healthy meals from scratch. I enjoy cooking wholesome traditional foods. Think one of my favourites is poached salmon. I'm happy to look after your cats. I'm a friendly person with a good sense of humour, a good listener and very honest and reliable. I believe I make a good carer because I am very patient and do not flap. I have done live in care but am happy to do domiciliary care in my area of Stafford although not able to work both ends of the day. Early mornings work well for me. I am looking for live in care work this can re regular or one work and I can accommodate 2/3 weeks on and 1/2 weeks off. During my down time from live in I am available for day time work in my area. I prefer to work with clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. When working as a live in carer I prefer cats however I am comfortable in having dogs around the house. I have access to my own car and I am fully covered for business car insurance, I am happy to transport clients to and from appointments and local travel as long as travelling expenses are covered by the client. I prefer not to have wheel chairs in and out of my car. I love swimming, watching tennis and cricket. I like to keep up with current affairs. I am a confident driver with either manual or automatic cars. I enjoy making a difference to someone's life, perhaps this could be you?

Wv10 9pr 216922 I am a kind caring and bubbly young person who enjoys giving back to the community by caring for those who can not take care of themselves or who are finding challenges in other sections of their lives. In my spare time , I enjoy cooking, going out and putting a smile on the face of those around me. I have worked as a carer in both community, care home and in private live in caring for both young people, elderly in their homes and in the community and also young people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenges. In this job, breaks are also needed so to keep fresh and have the energy to meet the job requirements. Caring is not just a career for me but I do it out of love. The biggest killer as I have noticed is loneliness, hence I am giving myself to Companionship so nobody will feel lonely, isolated and left out.
