BD18 3DL 264831 Hi I'm Sama, I have been working in care for 9 years. I have worked with children, young people and older adults. This meant working with people with learning disabilities, mental health and the elderly. I have worked in Domicilliary care, care homes, nurseries, residential care homes, respite homes, live in care and individual living accommodation. I enjoy working in live in care, as that way you're able to help the elderly with day to day tasks in encourage independence in all aspects of care. You can start projects with them and follow them through. I believe I am a good carer as I am very respectful, I believe nothing in a person's house should be touched or moved without their say so or without permission. I believe its essential to value the needs and wishes of our clients and ensure they are paramount in every decision we make, on a daily basis. There are various specialist skills I have such as, caring for those with dementia, rehabilitation following an injury, physiotherapy support and restraining people challenging behaviours. My hobbies are shopping, knitting, reading and watching movies. I enjoy shopping for myself but more for others, buying gifts and ensuring they're specially wrapped and paying attention to the likes and dislikes of others. I have recently begun knitting, I knitted a large chunky knit blanket for one of my clients in yellow (her favourite colour). I like reading fiction books that are set in the Victorian era. They are very interesting and tend to fascinate me, especially all the details of the way of life for people back then. I love watching movies, especially bollywood movies. I can always find a movie that my clients will like, a solid favourite being 'Driving Miss Daisy'. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 3"}
