I now the ability to work effectively by managing my time and prioritising my workload. I am knowledgeable regarding personal care, medication administration, safeguarding and follow the policies, procedures and guidelines of patient/client care management plan. I also use my initiative and experienced to deal with difficult situations when it arises. My job responsibilities includes and not limited to the followings: • I assist patients regarding personal care e.g bathing, washing, shaving and oral hygiene. • I assist patient to make and change their beds. • I assist patient with eating and drinking if they find it difficult to feed themselves. • I give out and collect bedpans and assist patient to the toilet. • I assist patient with poor mobility to move around safely if they find it difficult. I assist clients with medication handling and promoting if they have the capacity • I ensure patient individual dietary requirements are meet. • I escort mobile patients to and fro all wards and departments within the hospital premises. • I monitor patient’s conditions by taking and recording temperature, pulse, respirations, oxygen saturation and weight. • I update clients/patient medical charts, such as fluid balance, diet, stool, blood sugar and care plan.
