CH7 4DD 9286 Hi I am an ex-Registered General Nurse and due to rearing a large family my qualification has lapsed. I have experience in acute vascular surgery in a very busy male ward, acute medicine and elderly care. Even though I am now not qualified I still have vast knowledge of nursing . My passion is the elderly, I am a compassionate patient caring person and would be an absolute asset in looking after vulnerable elderly people . I have a large family with whom I love dearly I feel I want to give something back to this ageing population and this is a way to do so.

CH8 8JG 285510 My current clients tell me that I make a positive difference to their daily lives and that means so much to me. Being able to help people maintain their independence is extremely important. I am a caring and kind person, a very good listener, professional and adaptable. I have been working in the care industry for 7 years with adults with learning difficulties, also with adults with dementia. A family member has Downs Syndrome and has lived with us for 40 years and I have been involved in their care during that time. I continue to learn everyday as we are all so different and unique. Daily circumstances can affect us all in many ways. I believe that I have the experience and qualifications to assist you. I have many interests but my main hobby is gardening; I also enjoy arts, crafts, board games and puzzle books.

LL14 2TS 64230 I've been a carer for over 30 yrs with my son who has cerebral palsy and has a learning disability and 3.5 years as a paidl carer. Having worked in care homes, domiciliary and one to one I have found the latter the most rewarding. Being able to treat individuals how I would want to be treated is how it should be. Everyone is different and so are their needs. A sense of humour is particularly important. I recently worked in palliative care and felt, although it was hard, it was good to be able to spend time with the person and give them the best care possible. Also I have worked with continence needs including catheters and convenes. I am quite happy to work with clients with pets but obviously that would be assessed on an individual basis, for example if a dogs who are aggressive. New skills are something I am prepared to learn. My availability daytime is Monday - Friday and overnights Sunday - Thursday. I would only expect travel expenses if the client was over 10mls away. At present I am working with a 95yr old gentleman with short term memory loss, mobility difficulties and a catheter. I visit for 3hrs a week and overnights when needed. Occasionally I help with personal care with an 83yr old gentleman when his carer is away and also a waking night with a lady with dementia. Being creative and music are important to me but I enjoy a wide variety of activities. At the moment I play Countdown with a gentleman who, although his short term memory has gone, is very good and also crosswords.

LL11 4NA 269301 My name is Sharon and I have been a support worker for many years. The thing I love most about my job is to help enable individuals, by assisting them with tasks that they are struggling with, to keep their independence, which allows those individuals to live a life where they are most comfortable, in their own home.
